Actually God could have made people like fish, where the female lays eggs and the male drops by and prepares the eggs, and they do this with no physical contact. Regardless of the possibility that God needed us to engage in sexual relations only for proliferation, he could have made us like numerous creatures that simply go into warmth here and there a year for a brief period.
