Introduction of the mission statement
Mission statements usually aim at telling the kind of organization that is being dealt with. For nonprofit organizations, mission statements have to describe exactly how the organization will help the community with which it will be involved with. To avoid a general mission statement, it is usually useful to make sure that the mission statement to be used is succinct yet powerful. It should focus on both the present and the future. Saying what it is doing now, and what the organization hopes to achieve in the future (Wallace, 2004). The mission statement for the Ryan Network reflects all these characteristics of a mission statement in all the ways that will be explained below.
