Question 1

            Linkage group is a collection of various genes that exist at varying loci on the strand of similar chromosomes. Notably, the bundle does not cross over each other to cause a different nature of the final chromosome. Apparently, the package performs various activities resembling the performance of one gene. The action occurs during meiosis cell division stage (Sava, et al., 2015). Note that, there is no independent assortment as in other forms of meiosis. The constitution of focus is always the one chromosome, and the group entails all the genes available. The number of linkage groups equals the total available chromosomes. Note, for instance, that a diploid will have 20 chromosomes when there is the same number of linkage groups.
