I served as a server administrator and business systems analyst. As a server administrator, my responsibilities were tracking the activities on the servers, conducting any necessary upgrades in the computer systems and maintaining computer hardware. In the same capacity I was also expected to address any technical issues in the system, review the systems, and where necessary, write a report about them and submit it to the manager. In the process of executing these functions, I also perfected my knowledge in PowerShell and Desired State Configurations. Similarly, as a Business System Analyst, I was expected to determine the daily business objectives by analyzing output requirements. I also designed computer programs to support the business processes.  Mostly, I carefully monitored all business systems, fixing issues, ensuring efficiency, publishing reports and occasionally, recommending actions to the manager. In the course of all these, I was also expected to maintain the institutional data confidential and out of reach of unauthorized parties. I also took several lessons out of the internship opportunity. Before my arrival, I had no clue how to operate two servers concurrently, but through this experience, I learned how to move, rack and install 40 mixed servers. I also learned how to configure different operating systems and other software like SincWall. On top of that, I even got a chance to perfect other areas in my information technology field.
