Introduction

The purpose of this portfolio is to reflect on what I have learned in this unit and how it's applicable in my future professional life. At first, the portfolio will reflect on the theory of intrapersonal effectiveness taking into consideration my personality type. I will proceed to analyze my strengths and weaknesses and evaluate their impacts on my future as a professional. Eventually, I will come up with a list of personal and career goals set to match the ‘SMART' criteria.

Intrapersonal Effectiveness

Intrapersonal effectiveness refers to an advanced understanding of oneself, strengths, weaknesses, and goals with the intent to improve one's self-management skills (De Janasz, Wood, Gottschalk, Dowd, and Scheider, 2006). To become a top public relations executive in an entertainment industry, I need to objectively understand my intrapersonal effectiveness. As a future public relations executive, I will have to deal with professional and personal criticisms as I aspire to build strong relationships within and outside my organization. My personality type will serve as an important determiner in predicting my overall performance and effectiveness.
