Internet banking is a relatively new concept around the world and such it has gain a lot of attention in academic work for the last few years. There are quite a numbers of studies conducted to investigating factors of adoption. Three of the mostly used theories in these studies include Theory of Reason Action by Ajzen and Fishbein (1975), Theory of Planned Behaviour by Ajzen (1991), and Technology Acceptance Model (Davis 1991).
Theory of Reason Action (TRA)
Although this theory was initially developed to explain behaviour intention in the field of social psychology, it has become quite useful in other discipline as well. The theory was developed by Ajzen and Fishbein (1975) who presupposed that behaviour intention was determine by two factors namely attitude and subjective norm. Ajzen and Fishbein (1975) define attitude as positive or negative feeling toward the behaviour. They also define subjective norm as the as the perceived possible approval or disapproval of the important people in one’s life. There are a number of empirical studies that has tested the constructs of this model. These empirical studies will be reviewed under the theory of planned behaviour since the construct of this model are contained in TPB
