Introduction
There are several theories of learning most of which are classified as behavioral, cognitive or socio-cultural. It is important to note that all these classifications arise due to the abstract, subjective and multifaceted nature of what we in common parlances conceive as learning. Moreover, the theories themselves provide a structure of how the learning process takes place, but do not specify the mechanisms through which delivery of the perceived components of learning ought to be undertaken. This paper presents a literature review of the learning theories and design paying attention to their delivery mechanic inclination, that is, whether they are teacher or student-oriented or depend on the environment.
