Personal Information
Abdulaziz Gaber Alshehri was born on February 28, 1983, in Abha, Saudi Arabia. His quest for education began during his early ages. His hard work and commitment eventually paid when he graduated from high school in the year 2002. Among other levels of education that he previously passed through, this was a significant milestone in his life as it marked the beginning of his adult life. However, that was not the only bright day in his life; better days were yet to come. He was later honored to move to the next stage of his education. He received a notification that he had been accepted at the King Khalid University in his hometown, Abha. The best part of this intermediate level was the fact that the university is one of the most prestigious institutions of learning in Saudi Arabia. His dream of ever becoming a respiratory therapist was beginning to materialize as the university accepted his request to study for a degree in general nursing. Three years later, he graduated from the King Khalid University. The driving force, amidst all these, was his passion for helping others and compassion for those suffering.
It is his passion and compassion that drove him to pursue other related courses further and meet the required educational threshold. In January, 2009, he arrived in Mobile, AL to join the University of South Alabama where he was accepted for a bachelor’s degree program in cardiorespiratory care. Following years of hard work and commitment, he eventually graduated from one of the most affluent universities in the US in May, 2013. His thirst for education was so deep that his initial course could not satiate. It is, however, critical to note that his interest was only in health sciences. Abdulaziz was hell-bent on making an impact back home. While he was studying abroad, he always went back to Abha to practice what he had learned. From 2013-2015, he dedicated his three years as a Respiratory Therapist in the Intensive Care Unit in Abha, Saudi Arabia. While this was meant to gain field experience, he made an impact in the lives of the locals. Even so, he also participated in other professional activities away from his hometown. For instance, he spent more than 1000 hours in a clinical rotation in Mobile and Pensacola hospitals in the course of his Cardiorespiratory Care program. Currently, Abdulaziz Alshehri is studying a Master’s degree in Cardiorespiratory Care at Georgia State University in Atlanta, U.S.A.
