The message put across in the 2015 production of “Room for One More” is not new in the art industry. It is a fairly well-explored field in the written, staged production, and screenplay forms of art and, therefore, one would expect this 16 minute Watching Earth Production film to tell it more convincingly and entertainingly. “Room for One More,” a short film that was written by John W Galvin and Mike Magilnick under the directorship of John w Calvin, premiered in October 2015 and was expected to enrich the experience of the audience as far as the horror genre is concerned. It is, however apparent that the film failed to achieve this in many ways mainly due to producers’ too much inclusion of less-than-convincing comic taste and shallow plot. However, despite the storyline’s inability to command presence in this genre that has for long been well explored, the cast in this short film especially Frank Beaudry who is the lead actor has done relatively well in making it worth watching.
Frank (staring as Joseph) showcases quite a convincing show in his role as an ordinary person faced with life challenges in their defining moment. His well-presented stage presence, coupled with other relatively appealing performances by co-actors like Greg Nutcher who plays a mysterious friend help elevate this relatively poor storyline to a more believable level. Other cast members such as Emily Diedrich, Danielle Bonanno, Gunther Grambo, Brenda L. Jacobsen, Noël Ramos, and Godfrey Taylor Jr. have also been entirely instrumental in elevating this film to a more satisfactory level.
