Sayed Kashua is a published Hebrew writer. For twenty-five years, Sayed has been writing books and articles in Jerusalem, Israel. Sayed spoke Arabic as his primary language until he was taken to a Jewish school in Tira. Although he was born and nurtured in Israel, circumstances have forced him and his family to relocate to the United States. In his last article before he left Israel, Sayed justified why he had to leave his home country. The subsequent discussion presents a review of the article.
