In the wake of global interconnectedness, the world has turned in to a global market. Likewise, a person can be caught in a scenario where she/he is expected to manage a large group of people from different countries and cultural practices.  To demonstrate this Ahmed from Qatar was asked to manage a big worldwide team. Back in his thoughts, he understands that working with people from different cultures can be hectic and sometimes lead to make decisions that are culturally uninformed (Dihl, 2017). How can he begin to understand different cultures in order to create connections as well as motivate his team? It is in this view that Hofstede developed his theory which encompasses six dimensions to countercultural barriers in workplaces.
